Greece Vacation Ends in Tragedy for Diet Pioneer Michael Mosley

Must read

Michael Mosley (67), the founder of Intermittent Fasting, who had been missing during his vacation in Greece, was found dead.

According to a report by Reuters on the 9th (local time) quoting local media, Mosley was found dead in the rocky areas of the Greek island of Symi, four days after he was reported missing.

Mosley, who had taken a vacation to Symi, was last seen walking along Saint Nicholas Beach around 1:30 PM on the 5th. There was no further contact with him afterward.

When Mosley didn’t return by 7:30 PM that same day, his wife, Claire Bailey, reported him missing to the local police, prompting a search.

Some speculate that Mosley may have been in danger if he didn’t bring water with him, given that the daytime temperature in the area rose to 95°F which led to a heatwave warning.

While local Symi authorities and journalists were investigating the area by boat, Mosley’s body was discovered at Agia Marina, across Saint Nicholas Beach.

Mosley, a medical doctor, was a columnist for the Daily Mail, a BBC health show presenter, and a producer of documentaries on diet and exercise. In 2012, he garnered worldwide attention with his book The Fast Diet.
