BLACKPINK’s Rosé Sets Her Sights on the Billboard 200 with Debut Solo Album rosie
K-pop sensation Rosé released her highly anticipated debut solo album, Rosie, at midnight on Friday. The 12-track album includes previously released singles “APT.” and “Number One Girl,” as well as a brand new track, “Toxic Till the End.” Rosé wrote and co-produced every song on the album, an impressive achievement.
Rosé’s solo career has already hit major milestones, with “APT.” peaking at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100—the highest chart position ever achieved by a solo artist from a K-pop girl group. Now, with the release of Rosie, she’s aiming for even greater success on the Billboard 200.
Rosie is a deeply personal collection that draws inspiration from intimate conversations Rosé has had with her closest friends. The album’s 12 tracks explore the struggles and experiences of many young adults, offering a candid and relatable look at Rosé’s world. It reveals a more down-to-earth side of the pop star, showcasing her vulnerability and authenticity.
“The album title rosie is actually my nickname among close friends,” Rosé shared. “Through this album, I hope listeners will see me as approachable and comforting—their own rosie.”
Fans can also expect the music video for “Toxic Till the End,” which will premiere later today.
