South Korean golfer Kim Joo Hyung has climbed in the world rankings following his first top-10 finish of the 2025 PGA Tour season.

In the men’s golf world rankings announced on Tuesday, Kim improved from 24th place the previous week to 23rd.

On Monday, Kim tied for 7th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a PGA Tour signature event held at Pebble Beach Golf Links (par 72) in California, USA. He competed for the title against winner Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland. This marks Kim’s first top-10 finish in a PGA Tour event this year. Before this tournament, Kim had struggled in his previous two appearances, finishing tied for 65th and missing the cut in the other.

Meanwhile, Im Sung Jae dropped from 17th to 21st, and An Byeong Hun also fell one spot to 26th. Kim Si Woo, however, improved his ranking from 71st to 67th.

Scottie Scheffler of the United States retained his position as world number one, with Xander Schauffele and Rory McIlroy behind. During last year’s Christmas holiday, Scheffler injured his right hand while preparing a family meal, which delayed his season debut, but he has managed to maintain his top ranking.
