Must read

“My first solo stadium concert is not just a milestone—it’s a historic moment for me.”

J-Hope of BTS shared these reflections after concluding his North American tour.

On Tuesday, J-Hope wrapped up his North American tour with a bang at the J-Hope Tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ in LOS ANGELES held at BMO Stadium. The tour, which was held in six different cities—Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, San Antonio, Oakland, and Los Angeles—comprised 12 shows and drew a staggering crowd of about 178,000 fans.

As the first K-pop solo act to headline BMO Stadium, J-Hope’s Los Angeles show was a hot ticket even before it began. The excitement peaked when Miguel was featured on J-Hope’s new track “Sweet Dreams” and appeared surprised on stage.

J-Hope kicked off the show with a warm greeting to the packed house before diving into his set. He performed tracks that showcased his artistic identity, including “What if…”, “Pandora’s Box”, “Arson”, “Trivia 起: Just Dance”, and “Hope World”. The star demonstrated impeccable coordination with his dancers during “MIC DROP + Baepsae + Dis-ease” and “Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)”, while creating intimate moments with the audience during “on the street (solo version)” and “NEURON (with Gaeko, Yoonmirae).”

J-Hope’s flawless vocals and electrifying performance filled the stadium, with fans responding through deafening cheers and passionate sing-alongs. The crowd went wild for his new tracks “Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)” and “MONA LISA”. The “Sweet Dreams” track offered a mellow vibe, while “MONA LISA” turned up the heat with its sultry choreography.

As the show ended, J-Hope shared, “Tonight marks the grand finale of my North American tour. I was doubtful and scared at first. But I’ve realized that facing challenges and experiencing new things is how I understand myself and the world. That authenticity becomes my music, which then reaches you. I’m grateful to ARMY for being part of this journey. This first solo stadium show is monumental—it’s history in the making. You’ve created this stage, and everything comes together because of you. True to the tour’s name, I’m happiest on stage.”

The international press lauded J-Hope’s North American tour. Forbes hailed his concert as “a masterpiece that epitomizes the zenith of creativity and musicality,” noting, “Despite performing the same setlist across five previous cities, he exuded joy and passion on stage as if he’d been waiting his entire life for this moment. His energy never wavered, even through intense choreography and non-stop live performances.”

The LA Times observed, “J-Hope seems to evolve with each city he performs in. In ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE,’ he effortlessly transitions between rap and singing, showcasing his versatile vocal range.” It also highlighted his commanding stage presence and musical growth as the first K-pop solo artist to headline BMO Stadium.

Next up, J-Hope will embark on his J-Hope Tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ in ASIA TOUR, starting in Manila on April 12 and 13. He’ll then greet fans in Saitama, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, Taipei, and Osaka.
