On May 20, ADOR announced the release schedule for NewJeans’ new double single “How Sweet” and its music video through the app Phoning.
“How Sweet” is a track that adds an exciting electronic sound to the Miami Bass base. The NewJeans members appeared on the YouTube channel Halmyungsoo on the 17th and gave hints about “How Sweet,” stating, “It’s a hip-hop style we haven’t shown you before,” and “Please look forward to the new side of us.”
The double single How Sweet features a total of four songs, including the title track of the same name, the B-side track “Bubble Gum”, and instrumentals for each song. This single track will be released at 1 PM KST on May 24. The music video for “How Sweet” will be released at 4 PM the same day.
ADOR said, “We recommend you to fully enjoy the music before watching the music video,” and added, “We hope you enjoy the new music and performance, including the first stage on the music show (Music Bank) that follows immediately after watching the music video.”
Following their comeback in Korea on May 24, NewJeans will officially debut in Japan on the 21st of next month. The Japanese debut album Supernatural features a total of four tracks, including the title track of the same name, the B-side track “Right Now,” and instrumentals for each song. They will hold a fan meeting at the Tokyo Dome in Japan for two days from May 26-27.
