According to AP and Reuters on the 6th (local time), Dr. Michael Mosley (67), a British medical doctor and broadcaster known for intermittent fasting, was found dead after missing while on vacation on the Greek island of Symi.
According to the report, Mosley was last seen hiking along Saint Nicholas Beach in Symi around 1:30 PM the previous day. His wife, Dr. Claire Bailey, reported him missing to the police.
Greek authorities launched a massive search operation mobilizing police, firefighters, and volunteers. Police dogs and drones have been deployed in areas difficult for humans to access. Unfortunately, his body was found four days after he was reported missing.
Mosley was well-known as the presenter of BBC‘s Trust Me, I’m a Doctor and One Show, as well as ITV‘s This Morning.
He has received various awards, including an Emmy for the BBC science documentary Meet the Humans.
In 2012, he sparked global interest in intermittent fasting with his book The Fast Diet.
