Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, has begun a new role as the host of a weekend program on Fox News.

According to Fox News, Lara, the wife of Trump’s second son, Eric Trump, launched a new interview program titled My View with Lara Trump. Airing during prime time from 9 to 10 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturdays, the program features Lara interviewing prominent figures and providing analysis.

Fox News, known for its strong support of Trump, a former real estate mogul, stated that the new program’s goal is to focus on restoring common sense to everyday American life as the country enters a new era of pragmatism.

The debut episode featured interviews with former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who helped Trump’s re-election campaign; Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard; and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Leavitt, who served as a spokesperson for Trump’s presidential campaign and became the youngest White House press secretary at 27, expressed in the interview that “I’m so honored and humbled to be the press secretary for President Trump, who, as you said, truly is the most dynamic president in our lifetimes.”

Lara, a former TV producer, played a key role in her father-in-law’s re-election as the co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) in this election. Initially, she was expected to succeed Marco Rubio’s Senate seat after he was nominated as Secretary of State, but she instead pivoted to a career as a Fox News host.

Lara’s new role as a media anchor has sparked concerns that the Trump family’s influence is expanding beyond politics into the media sector. On the same day, President Trump personally promoted his daughter-in-law’s program and debut on Truth Social, while Lara stated, “As I cover the success of The Golden Age of America, I look forward to where this time will lead our country and where this opportunity will lead me in the future.”
