Former President Donald Trump expressed on Sunday that he anticipates a winner will be declared on election day.
In an interview with ABC News, Trump addressed the question, “Do you think you could lose the election?” by sharing his expectations regarding the timing of the results.
“Yeah, I guess, you know,” Trump responded. “I guess you could lose, can lose. I mean, that happens, right? But I think I have a pretty substantial lead. But, you could say — yeah, yeah, you could lose. Bad things could happen. You know, things happen, but it’s going to be interesting.”
When asked if he plans to deliver a speech on election day, he responded that he would address the matter at the appropriate time.
Trump has consistently maintained that his loss in the 2020 election was due to fraud. He further declared that if he wins this election, those found guilty of fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, emphasizing that this could involve lengthy prison sentences.
