According to a local news outlet, WALB News report, a 12-year-old boy from Tifton, Georgia, fell asleep at a friend’s house during a gaming session. He was abruptly awakened by an excruciating burning sensation on his face and discovered that the other children had poured hot water on him.
The report states that he was rushed to a specialized burn center for emergency treatment. He suffered second-degree burns across most of his face. Doctors estimate that his recovery will require a considerable amount of time, and there are concerns about potential permanent scarring.
