Lexi Thompson has been a cornerstone of American golf and the LPGA Tour for over a decade. Known for her remarkable skill on the course and her striking presence off it, Thompson quickly became a fan favorite. However, the golf world was shocked when she announced last May that she would retire after the 2024 season.

At just 28, Thompson’s career has been nothing short of extraordinary. With 15 LPGA Tour victories and seven consecutive appearances at the Solheim Cup from 2013 to 2022, she has long been considered one of the best. But after spending her teenage years and twenties competing at the highest level of professional golf, Thompson is now looking ahead to a new chapter as she approaches her thirties. In a recent interview, she shared her future plans: “When I turn 30 next year, I want to settle down, get married, and start a family.”

It seems that a new chapter has already begun. Recently, Thompson shared the exciting news on social media: she’s officially engaged. She posted a photo of the proposal and wrote, “The best part of my trip to Whistler …. I said YES to my forever and always.” The image showed her hand adorned with a sparkling engagement ring, held lovingly by her fiancé.

The announcement quickly garnered a wave of congratulations from across the golf world. On the LPGA Tour’s official account, fellow golfer Amy Yang and PGA Tour star Tony Finau were among the many offering their best wishes. Even Justin Timberlake showed his support by liking the post and sending Thompson a virtual thumbs-up to celebrate her happy news.
