A suspect who murdered a Korean in Pattaya, Thailand, and fled to Cambodia has been captured through international cooperation.
According to the Gyeongnam Police Agency on the 14th, one of the suspects in the murder of a Korean in Pattaya was apprehended at an accommodation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia around 12:10 AM that day. The suspect was caught by the Korean resident official and local police.
The suspect and his two accomplices are accused of killing a Korean in Pattaya between the 3rd and 4th, placing his body in a plastic container, pouring cement over it, and abandoning it in a lake. All ten of the victim’s fingers were found severed. The police are also an accomplice, who had entered the country after the crime and was apprehended on the 12th. The police are focusing on capturing the second accomplice who is believed to have remained in Thailand or fled to another nearby country.
